We are currently seeking nurturing, creative, flexible and resourceful
individuals with a passion for children’s learning and development.

  • Durham Region (Courtice, Bowmanville, Hampton, Enniskillen, Orono, Newcastle, Newtonville, Kirby, Oshawa, Whitby, Brooklin, Scugog, Port Perry, Ajax, Pickering, Uxbridge, Brock)
  • City of Kawartha Lakes (Lindsay, Little Britain, Oakwood, Woodville, Cameron, Fenelon Falls, Bobcaygeon, Bolsover, Omemee, Dunsford, Kirkfield, Coboconk, Manilla)
  • Haliburton County (Minden, Kinmount, Haliburton, Wilberforce, Carnarvon, Cardiff)

Start Date:

Immediate (we will schedule first initial home visit within 10 days of receiving your registration request). We will work on your timeline and are currently accepting applications in all regions.

Capacity:

Up to 6 children under the age of 13 years (no more than 3 under the ages of 24 months). This includes provider’s own children under the age of 4. (If your child is in Kindergarten, your child no longer is included in ratio during September – June).

Hours:

Flexible – you set your own hours (part day, full day, extended day, evenings, weekends, overnight)

  • Referral incentives for new providers and families
  • Access to (a minimum of) 12 hours of Professional Development training/year

Job Requirements and Competencies:

  • Access to suitable operational space – for up to 6 children (this includes: play, meals, sleep, outdoor areas)
  • Have experience with young children
  • Show warmth, sincerity and genuine interest when working with children
  • Rent or own your home/apartment
  • Have strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have strong behaviour guidance skills that include problem solving, positive reinforcement and redirection strategies.
  • Have a valid First Aid/CPR certificate, a current health assessment (including COVID-19 vaccination) and a current Police Vulnerable Sector Check (not more than three months old)
