About our Supply Team
As a Supply Staff at Compass ELC, you will work alongside some of the most passionate, caring, and dedicated staff in the industry. Our Supply team is an essential part of our organization and they work on an on-call basis to provide high-quality child care and early learning in environments that put children at the heart.
About You
You are passionate about life-long learning, trusting relationships, collective intelligence, and collaboration. You are energetic, resourceful, and creative in your pursuits of creating learning opportunities, building connections, and engaging with children and families, staff, and community members. You possess the training and documents required by the Ministry of Education to work in a childcare setting.
As a Supply Staff you will…
- Plan and lead interest-based and play-based activities that reflect children’s unique interests to promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
- Maintain active supervision with children while still being engaged in play.
- Documenting children’s learning progress through observation, reflection, and research questions.
- Support and maintain an environment that protects the health, safety, and well-being of children.
- Assist the children with diapering, dressing, and eating habits.
- Foster strong relationships with families and involve them in the learning process.
- Collaborate with coworkers, families, and community partners to create a supportive environment.
- Participate in team meetings, professional learning opportunities, and staff training opportunities.
- Assist in housekeeping duties within the program.
- Follow CELC, CCEYA, and Ministry of Education policies and procedures.
- Have a flexible job schedule by choosing your own availability.
- Have the opportunity to work part-time or full-time.
- Pick up shifts around your school schedule.
- Make above minimum age.
