Board Structure: Compass ELC is governed by a Board of Directors with a policy governance model. Meetings are held monthly (currently virtually) on Monday evenings.
Board members live and/or work in: City of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton County, County or City of Peterborough, Northumberland County or Durham Region.

The role of the Board of Directors is to:
- Establish and implement the organization’s mission, vision and direction
- Ensure the financial health of the organization
- Ensure the organization has sufficient and appropriate human resources
- Direct organizational operations
- Ensure effective community relations
