~ Amanda Camacho, Home Child Care Program
In these times of uncertainty, supporting each other is vital to our connection with each other and to our own wellbeing. The saying “we are in this together” is so true, as we all navigate these unknown waters. We are all figuring out how to fit into this new norm, how to stay connected and help one another through these times. On one of Sheila’s Q&A zoom meetings, a staff member reached out and offered to create a care package to donate to one of our Providers. Home Child Care was so touched by this. Her excitement and eagerness to do this for our Provider created a sense of belonging and support. We are so grateful to be a part of such an amazing team here at Compass. There are so many people reaching out, supporting, and offering their time, even if it’s just to listen. We just wanted to give a shout out to her, and a big virtual hug from HCC to everyone here at Compass. We are definitely stronger together.
“During this uncertain time I choose to stand strong in the face of fear. I choose not to give in to fear driven hate or judgement. One way I can stand strong is by spreading joy. I believe it is important to show gratitude. Especially, during tough times. We all deserve to be appreciated for who we are. Showing gratitude not only fills up the receiver it also brings joy to the person who gives. Stand strong and spread joy. We are in this together” ?

“At times, our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us.” –Albert Schweitzer
Thank you for being a spark.
