I am pleased to share with you my early learning childcare program. My name is Shelley and my love for children began, watching my own four children learn and grow. As my children quickly grew, I realized my heart desired to be surrounded by young children so I aspired to open a home daycare in Lindsay.
Two years ago, I joined Compass ELC so I could grow with a professional team of Early Child Educators. In my very young program, infants, toddlers and preschoolers are welcomed into a large open concept custom built playroom where they can explore, create, learn, grow, and build. I love to invite them to experience new things and develop new skills in our playroom. We love our surroundings both inside and outside where my home backs onto the Trans Canada trail. We love to hike the trail, stroll the neighbourhood, swing and climb in the backyard. We enjoy singing with the birds, dancing in the wind, running and playing in the fresh air. We blow bubbles, pick flowers, jump in puddles and play in sprinklers. We catch snowflakes with our tongues and rays of sunshine on our cheeks. We share laughter, cherish togetherness and adore our friendships.
My passion is teaching children but my favourite part of my daycare experience is realizing the children teach me as much as I teach them. They teach me to enjoy every moment and play every day. I could not have chosen a better way to spend my days.
