Home Child Care – Esther’s Program

Details for Home Child Care – Esther’s Program

My name is Esther and I provide Home Child Care through Compass ELC.  I am a mother of 4 children and granny to 3 grandchildren. My journey in Child Care has come full circle in 40 years. For 25 years I did Home Child Care, then started working supply for Compass ELC (Kawartha Child Care).  During my time at the centres I decided to apprentice to become an Early Childhood Educator and completed the program over 3 years.  Over 10 years I had the opportunity to work School Age which allowed for opportunities to work with other age groups like infants, toddlers and preschoolers. As life changed and opportunities become available I made the decision to go back to doing Home Child Care.

What I offer depends on the children’s interest and where they take things.  Some activities have included:  geocaching , sewing, experience/learning more things, ability to go on bus, doing community things, baking, making slime, arts , crafts, playing outside, making mud pies, having fun, being around family and friends.
