About the Role
At Compass Early Learning & Care you will work as a Culture Lead fostering a culture based on the practices of being present, living into a coaching mindset and building relationships that create emotional safety. The culture lead will support the team to live into our values and achieve the place where children, families, educators, and the community can build long lasting relationships.
Some accountabilities associated with the role
- Annual program planning, communicating & reporting
- Encourage and foster the leadership of all staff in the team, using the CELC Coaching Culture document
- Support interviews and the hiring process including team complement
- Budget planning
- Fostering a sense of community in programs, including working through tensions
- Be the community liaison within the organization with other organizations within our community (schools, children’s treatment centres, quality improvement partners, etc.)
- Schedule staff meetings and facilitate team process
- Initiate advertising and marketing for program
About You
You have a passion and strong commitment to building accepting and welcoming cultures that invite all of our educators, families, children and community partners to live in. You are eager to contribute to an amazing organizational culture, to grow your practice as collaborator, researcher, facilitator and learner. You have a natural disposition towards research and culture building based off of the practices of being present, living into a coaching mindset and building relationships that create emotional safety as well as technological and administrative skills. You are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators and possess the training and documents required by the Ministry of Education to work in a child care setting
Educator Rates per hour
- Educators Registered with the college of Early Childhood Educator’s or Equivalent have a starting rate of $18.40
- Starting rate for non RECE is $17.40
- Premiums of up to 2.75 will be applied to eligible positions
- Eligible Split shift/school age shifts will be provided with a $.75 increase (not including summer camp, March break or PA day shifts)
- Eligible positions will be provided with a $2 wage enhancement.
