Implementation of the Child Care and Early Years Act

In many ways, this is the moment we have all been waiting for – new legislation to take the place of the outdated Day Nurseries Act that we in the Early Years field love to hate.  The government has announced that all sections of the Child Care Modernization Act, 2014, except the amendments to the Education Act, will be proclaimed on August 31, 2015.  Along with the Act, new regulations will take effect.  It will be important to familiarize ourselves with the new regulations and to know which regulations have changed and which ones remain.  Oh, yes, some of the old regulations will not be changed right away.  This is part of the phased in approach that the Early Years Division has been speaking of.  For more information on the new regulations, visit the page LOCATED HERE and regarding Funding, Cost Sharing and Financial Assistance, visit the resource LOCATED HERE.

New legislations, new opportunities, new partnership.
